R J Gould (Richard) writes contemporary fiction about relationships, using a mix of wry humour and pathos to describe the tragi-comic life journeys of his protagonists. He is published by Vinci Books and also self-publishes.
Although all his novels are stand-alone, eight fall within two series. ‘At the Dream Cafe’ starts with David fulfilling his dream of opening an arts cafe. Subsequent novels delve into the lives of customers. ‘Second Chances’, the other series, is just that – second chances to restore relationships, both romantic and platonic.
Before becoming a full-time author Richard worked in the education and charity sectors. In addition to his addiction to telling stories, he has somewhat milder addictions to playing tennis, watching film noir cinema, completing Wordle and eating dried mango slices.
