We held our results evening for the short story competition 2022 this month, and a wonderful night of stories was enjoyed by all. Our judge, Professor Andrew Cowen, gave us fantastically detailed feedback and said he was highly impressed with the standard of writing, and the variety of entries he received on the theme of ‘Coincidence’.
Without further ado, here are the results:
1st Place: Les Brooks – Spring Fever
2nd Place: Richard Gould – Google Earth and Me
3rd Place: Josephine Warrier – Infestation
Andrew also commended three additional writers for their entries: Rachel Levy, Harry Goode, and Francis Thompson.
As each placed story was revealed, the writer read the piece out to all who attended, resulting in a fabulous evening of imaginative and enjoyable fiction.
All the winning and commended entries from our short story competition will be published later in the year in an anthology showcasing the talent of our writers.
