Now proudly based in Cambridge, Simone brings a vibrant, multi-disciplinary approach to our public outreach, blending her active dedication to the local literary community with a celebrated, multi-decade international career in interior design.
Born and raised in the West Indies, Simone later pursued an education in Environmental Design & Fine Art in Toronto, Canada, before launching her career in London in 1998. Over the last two decades, she has established herself at the forefront of the design industry as the Creative Director of Absolute Luxe Interiors. Her inspiration derives from a deep love of nature and the arts, allowing her to build a diverse, international clientele. She has created an array of eclectic, timeless interiors for large-scale hospitality and residential projects spanning Europe, the Caribbean, and North America.
Simone’s professional journey remains deeply rooted in cultural spaces and business operations. She is the former owner of The West India Art Company and historically managed visual merchandising across six island states in the Caribbean.
An artist at heart who also paints and writes poetry, Simone seamlessly translates her talent for building atmospheric, textured spaces into the literary world. She is presently working on her first novel in the gothic fiction genre, and her unique ability to marry evocative storytelling with strategic visual direction makes her uniquely positioned to amplify the voice of Cambridge Writers.
