5th March – Short Story Competition Judging Evening

Short Story Competition

Our glittering awards evening will take place on March 5th.

This year’s short story competition was on the theme of ‘Darkness’, though stories can be written in any genre the writer wishes.

There are cash prizes to be won but the contest is only open to paid up members of Cambridge Writers, so if you want to enter, join up quick!

The closing date is January 3rd 2024, so if you’re reading this after that date, you’re too late to enter this year I’m afraid.

This year’s contest was kindly judged for us by Chris Priestley. Chris is a local author writing creepy and weird tales rather than horror. He finds inspiration from authors Edgar Allan Poe and Mary Shelley. He is also an artist and illustrator.
