Darragh Peter Murphy is a copywriting communications consultant and international journalist of long standing (see www.darraghpetermurphy.com).
He is currently writing a trilogy of novels set in 21st-century Ireland and Britain, an early draft of which won the novels-in-progress award at the 2020 West Cork Literary Festival. He chairs the Cambridge Writers Online Creative Writing Group meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.
Darragh is heavily involved in the Cambridge arts and alternative scene, and cofounded The Big Sit, an environment-themed outdoor meditation event. He is also cofounder of Lovejam Cambridge (@cambridgelovejam), a monthly arts and music event.
A Beatles and Bob Dylan obsessive, he has also been writing songs since he was a teenager, and plans to one day get around to recording the half-dozen albums or so that have accumulated. A small selection, recorded with rapper Dizraeli, are available at oakdpm.bandcamp.com.
