We exchange our nuptial vows, our hearts beating
In close proximity. Our hearts\u2019 impact once
Scattered regoliths here on the way to Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poised in awe like the earth-moon spin,
We observe Armstrong and Aldrin\u2019s
Fit footprints on the plain\u2019s talcum-sands
Then, deftly inscribed by Apollo and Insight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further on from the fossil-riverbed, mascons
Spurt all around us like tuberoses. We cannot
See nor touch nor smell these succulents \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metaphors are maudlin tools on the moon \u2013
Roses cultivated on earth\u2019s irrigated soils
Metamorphosed memorabilia of our origins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
