“This is a hair raising story of child abuse, as told by the victim. It may be fiction but the author challenges the reader to recognise that this is reality for some children.
The tale that unfolds, while so real and upsetting, also reveals a resilience in Molly, our \u201cheroine\u201d, that is ultimately uplifting. Eloquent beyond her years, Molly takes us beyond her terrible experiences out onto the wilds of Dartmoor. “Given this book as a gift. I have read Alex Mellanby’s TreGarthurs series, bought for my grandchildren. Great series. This is something totally different, still great but a reflection on drugs in society. Not a comfortable read but a book you cannot put down. It made me think of “Cathy Come Home” a 60’s film that had an effect on myself and a lot of people I knew. This book shows the effects of drugs and should be a wake up call to the youth of today.
